COVID-19 Update
Like every business, we’re continually adapting to updated advice from the Westminster and Scottish governments as well as industry bodies. These notes will be regularly updated to reflect the current state of play.
Contacting Western Lettings
In accordance with government advice, we’re working from home to help slow the spread of the virus. You can contact us as normal by email or telephone.
Tenants Looking for Properties
The latest advice from government is that you should only move home if you have a compelling need to do so. If you do need to move, we have everything in place to facilitate that. All our available properties are listed on our website and Rightmove with 360 virtual tours. If you have viewed one of the tours and would like to make an application, just click on the “Apply for Property” button at the top of the tour or get in touch with our office. We normally process applications entirely online. This includes carrying out references as well as digitally signing the inventory and the tenancy agreement. When everything is in place, we will arrange a contactless check-in.
Tenants with Maintenance Issues
We can only deal with urgent maintenance issues at present. If you have non-urgent issues which you’d like to bring to our attention, please let us know about them and we will deal with them when the current restrictions are relaxed.
Tenants Worried about Paying Rent
If you anticipate problems paying your rent, please get in touch. We will work with your landlord towards a solution.
Landlords with a Property to Let
We are currently taking new instructions during the crisis. If your property is vacant, we can visit to get marketing photos and a virtual tour. Please contact our office to discuss how we can help.
Safety Inspections
Current guidelines are that we should not instruct gas and electrical inspections when the relevant certificates expire. When this advice changes, we’ll get in touch to arrange re-inspections.
