Western Lettings are the most professional and efficient letting agent I’ve experienced. After staying in a property with them for over 4 years it is easy to see how much they strive to put their tenants first and offer endless support through any circumstance. All the staff I have dealt with have been super professional, however a special thanks must go to India, the property manager. We stayed in a property for 6 years which Western Lettings managed for over half of this tenancy. Throughout they were excellent - so easy to deal with. Their communication is excellent and staff are very friendly and professional.

They have great systems in place for maintenance and addressed all maintenance concerns in a timely and efficient manner through the online portal with no hassle. This is way above the standard I have seen from other letting agents in Glasgow.

We had one hiccup with Western Lettings close to when they began their management of the property. I do not mention this to criticise them in any way, but to highlight their reactive way in addressing this issue and ensuring nothing like that happened again. No one is perfect and mistakes do happen but the way Western Lettings handled and resolved the situation showed their excellent professionalism and the standards they aim to manage properties. Furthermore, this shows how much they value their tenants and strive to keep a strong relationship with them as well as constantly striving to perfect their processes and procedures.

India was an excellent property manager and was very professional and friendly at all visits and in all correspondence. She was very helpful during the move out process and had our deposit back with us within a week!

Mixed experience, reliable in some areas, lacking in others
As a landlord, I've had a very mixed experience. Focusing on 5 keys areas I care about:

1. Tenant Sourcing & Vetting
This has been the weakest area. Tenant searches take too long, often stretching into months (70 days in average), and it doesn't seem like the property is actively being marketed. It feels like not much effort is being made.

2. Rent Collection & Financial Management
No complaints here. Rent is collected reliably, and the online system is easy to use for tracking payments and accessing statements. It's been smooth.

3. Maintenance & Repairs
Some expenses feel avoidable, like sending a handyman multiple times instead of resolving issues in one visit. They often use their in-house handyman, and it sometimes feels more about profit than practicality. However, scheduled maintenance is done properly.

4. Legal Compliance & Documentation
This area is handled well. Certifications and documentation are always up to date, which gives peace of mind and reflects good professionalism.

5. Communication & Transparency
Responses are timely and professional. Communication is steady and courteous, which I appreciate, but there's room for more initiative.

In summary, be prepared to lose 2-3 months rent per property per tenancy, however once tenanted everything is great.

Our Property Management Fees

Our fees are transparent and simple.

Full management fees are 10%+vat of rent achieved (subject to a minimum of £75+vat).

The only additional fee you will be subject to is a £400+vat Letting and Marketing fee which includes all activities associated with setting up your property and moving your tenants in.
